The Sutherland Spirit is a magnificent custom made house boat that has been meticulously maintained and cared for since her inception, she certainly shows pride of ownership throughout.. This is a one owner vessel that comes with her own custom made trailer, both the trailer and vessel have been stored inside in a heated facility during the winters and the time she has not been in the water. This vessel is a light displacement custom built fiberglass/plywood full-bridge house boat cruiser. It has a hard chine hull with a flared box-bow and fine entry at the waterline. She has spent all her time in the big water of Lake Huron, the Trent System and the Great Lakes. This vessel is a perfect fit for the couple or family that want to spend weekends aboard and/or the warmer months cruising the Great Lakes or travelling America's Great Loop. This vessel is equipped with Cummins twin 4.2L diesel marine engines and twin Mercruiser outdrives that generate 300 hp each. These diesel engines were installed in 2005, they only have 420 hours on them. There is an Onan 9 kw diesel generator on board generating adequate 120 VAC power, a 30 amp shore power connection, a 12 VDC converter  and a HDI 3000, 3 kw inverter. She is equipped with a Zodiac 12' dingy c/w 25 hp Mercury outboard engine, stored on the upper deck. Access to the engine room is through exterior access hatches located on the aft cockpit area. The hull and transom have been continually maintained and are in like new condition. Access to the forward control bridge and helm area is from the starboard deck side, with stairs from this area to the lower galley and main salon area. The helm is equipped with the standard navigation instruments plus, a Garmin 5212 Chart Plotter, an Autohelm ST 50 Radar, a Standard Horizon Eclipse GX1300 25 Watt VHF Marine Transceiver, various hand held transceivers, navigation lights and engine monitoring instruments. The galley is equipped a SS sink, an upright electric refrigerator, an under counter freezer, a four burner propane cook top stove, a microwave convection oven, a trash compactor, a vacuum cleaner, and an exterior BBQ. The main salon has a dining table, seating area and propane corner fireplace. This vessel also has washer and dryer appliances. The sleeping accommodations are for eight, they are located forward in an area with two berths and with two separate fold out chesterfields located in the main salon and helm areas. There are two heads, the 4 piece main head (electric toilet, sink, bath tub and shower) is located in the main salon area and the second 2 piece head (manual pump toilet and sink) are located in the forward berth area. There is a Lofrans Tigress electric deck windlass system, the main anchor is a 100 lbs ROCNA  and one additional 45 lbs Danforth stored in the engine compartment. For those serious boating enthusiasts that want a spacious live aboard vessel, one that can handle big water and extended journeys this is a must see. This comes with the standard safety equipment. See the many attached photos.

There is a current survey of this vessel from April 2019, the custom trailer will have this years safety inspection completed after the vessel is put in the water this year.
